CleanSwype needs Photos access before it can list albums. Follow the system prompt, or open Apple Settings and allow access to selected photos or your full library.
Deletion is always reviewed
A left swipe only marks an item. Open Pending Deletes to review the group, then approve the separate confirmation from Apple before anything is removed.
Photos stored in iCloud
If a full-resolution item is not on your device, Apple Photos may need a network connection to retrieve it. Keep the app open and try again after the item downloads.

Where should I start?
Open Review and choose a source in Settings: Screenshots is a quick first cleanup, while All Photos lets you work through the whole accessible library. The Help button can replay the guided walkthrough at any time.
What do the four swipe directions do?
Swipe left to mark for deletion, right to keep, up to favorite, and down to move. Directional targets appear as you drag. Undo reverses your last review decision.
Can I recover a deleted photo?
Open Recently Deleted in Apple Photos. Apple normally keeps deleted items there temporarily unless you remove them permanently. Recovery availability and timing are controlled by Photos.
Does Smart Analysis upload my photos?
No. Optional text recognition, barcode detection, classification, and similarity analysis run on your device. CleanSwype does not upload photo content or analysis results.
What does Share Privately remove?
For supported photos, Share Privately exports a temporary copy without location and other identifying metadata. Remove Location Only keeps unrelated metadata, and Share Original makes no privacy changes. Your original photo is never modified.
Why isn’t Share Privately available for a photo?
Certain formats, including some Live Photo or RAW content, cannot be safely rewritten by the private-sharing exporter. CleanSwype explains the limitation and lets you decide whether to share the original.
How do I restore CleanSwype Pro?
Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then open CleanSwype Settings and select Restore Purchases. CleanSwype Pro is a one-time App Store purchase, not a subscription.
How do I reset analysis or review history?
Open CleanSwype Settings and use the relevant reset or clear control. Removing the app also removes its local app container, subject to Apple’s device and backup behavior.
Privacy-sensitive support
Please do not email private photos, precise locations, or screenshot contents unless they are essential to your report and you intend to share them. A description of the behavior is usually enough.
